Rittenhouse Square is pretty directly in center city Philadelphia. Rittenhouse Square it's self is a very hip area of Philadelphia. Rittenhouse is the area surrounding a small park in Philadelphia and is filled with tons of trendy resturants and boutiques overlooking the park. If you are looking to feel like your living in the lap of luxury then this is the part of the city you're going to want to stay in.
2. Old City
Philadelphia is known for being a huge part of America's beginnings. Mainly due to the fact the Constitutional Convention was held their. Old City is still filled with the brick roads and colonial homes that our founding fathers resided in. This part of Philadelphia combines history with new ideas as it's filled with art galleries and shops from modern life while boasting some of Philadelphia's most famous historical landmarks. Old City really is a favorite among families as far as a place to stay goes.
3.Fishtown
Fishtown is Philadelphia's up and coming neighborhood and for good reason. Full of breweries and creative minds Fishtown really has it all.This neighborhood is great for tourists looking for a quieter part of the city to stay in who also want to experience the amazing food and culture. Fishtown also backs up to the Delaware River offering amazing views.
Keep in mind that Philadelphia has plenty of public transportation so no matter where you stay you will be able to explore all that the city has to offer.
